Seared Sesame Encrusted Tuna with Pad Thai Sauce

Watcharee's Seared Sesame Encrusted Tuna with Pad Thai Sauce is made with authentic Thai sauce and features quick prep. It is gluten-free, non-GMO, and free from artificial ingredients. Serves 4.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup 
  • WATCHAREE'S Pad Thai Sauce 
  • 4 fresh tuna steaks (4-6 ounce/1 inch thick)
  • ½ cup white sesame seeds
  • ¼ cup black sesame seeds
  • 3 tbs rice bran oil or other healthy oil

Directions

  1. Combine white and black sesame seeds on a plate.
  2. Rub tuna lightly with oil.
  3. Press each piece of tuna into sesame seeds to coat evenly.
  4. Heat a frying pan and warm the oil over high heat until smoking. Add tuna and sear until white sesame seeds turn golden brown - about 45 second to one minute per side.
  5. Remove seared tuna from pan and slice to ¼ inch thick slices.
  6. Arrange on serving plates and drizzle WATCHAREE'S Pad Thai sauce just before serving. 
  7. Serve with salad, brown rice, Thai jasmine rice, quinoa salad or soba noodles.
