Steamed Veggies with Thai Spicy Chili Dipping Sauce

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup Watcharee’s Thai Spicy Chili Sauce
  • 2-3 carrots, peeled and cut into small pieces
  • 4-5 napa cabbage leaves, chopped into bite-sized pieces 
  • ½ head of cauliflower, trimmed into floretsCooking Tools:• Steamer rack• Bamboo steamer• Heatproof silicone liner (optional)

Directions

  1. Prepare the vegetables: Peel and chop the carrots, cut the napa cabbage into small pieces, and break the cauliflower into florets. Arrange the veggies on a plate or bamboo basket, optionally lining with a heatproof silicone liner. Set aside. 
  2. Prepare for steaming: Place a steamer rack inside a large pot, skillet, or wok, or alternative use a bamboo steamer. 
  3. Steam the vegetables: Add two inches of water to the pot, skillet or wok with lid and bring to a boil. 
  4. Once boiling, place a plate on the steamer rack or place bamboo basket into the pot or wok. Cover with lid and steam for 8-10 minutes depending on the size of your vegetables, until tender. 
  5. Serve: Turn off the heat and carefully remove the steamed vegetables. Serve with Watcharee’s Thai Spicy Chili Sauce on the side.
